Run by legendary Aris and his family, the original Cruson sadly closed in 2019 so that Aris could enjoy retirement, but it has since reopened under new ownership, much to the delight of the community.
Gone but not forgotten!
For those who lived in Camberwell, the sweet and aromatic smell of Cruson followed by a friendly wave from Aris is a memory that will never fade. The shop was open all hours and offered a wide range of fresh vegetables, fruits, and even Christmas trees during the winter season. Even after moving to nearby Peckham, I and many others continued to make the trip back to Cruson to carry on the tradition of picking out their Christmas tree each year.
