Skehans is a charming, family-run pub tucked near the top of Telegraph Hill in Nunhead. One of the last truly independent pubs in South London, it’s loved for its character, community spirit and unpretentious warmth.
In winter, the wood-burning stove keeps things cosy, while the front bar offers local ales, live music six nights a week, and a lively crowd. In warmer months, the spacious garden is a hidden gem — perfect for a sunny pint or, as I like to do, settling in with a good book.
This hand-painted illustration captures everything we love about Skehans — a proper South London local. Great for gifting or anyone who’s called this place their pub.

The print is a4 at 210 × 297 and published on matt 300 gsm paper has been produced from a photographic scan of an original that I created this year using Gouache on hot press watercolour paper. The image quality is true to the original and scanned at 300 dpi. All prints will be hand wrapped and packaged. This does not come with a frame but will be enclosed in a plastic slipcase with a cardboard backing to protect it.
